Carnaroli Rice

CLASSIC CARNAROLI RICE. THE KING OF RICE FOR YOUR GOURMET DISHES.

Carnaroli Rice is a highly prized superfine variety that originated in 1945 from the crossbreeding of two rice types (Lencino and Vialone). It gradually gained recognition and became renowned as an excellent product, particularly from the late 1980s onwards.

Carnaroli rice, often referred to as the “king of rice,” is especially ideal for preparing delicious risottos and gourmet dishes. The grains of Carnaroli, with their pearly color and elongated shape, hold up exceptionally well during cooking, remaining intact and firm after the required 16-18 minutes of cooking.

Another appreciated property of Carnaroli rice, with its more substantial grain, is its ability to absorb broth, sauces, other liquids, as well as butter and cream, ensuring a perfect emulsion. Additionally, Carnaroli holds onto aromas and flavors very effectively. It can be easily used for various other preparations, as its capacity to maintain its structure and absorb flavors is a great help even for those less experienced in the kitchen.
